Residents at The Old Vicarage Otterton enjoyed an uplifting activity session with Shannon from G Fitness, combining gentle seated exercises with a lively ball game.

The session brought plenty of energy into the room, with residents joining in at their own pace and in ways that suited them. There were smiles, moments of concentration and plenty of friendly interaction as everyone took part in the activities.

Gentle exercise is an important part of daily life in a care home. Activities such as seated movement and ball games can help support coordination, mobility and confidence, while encouraging social interaction and enjoyment. At The Old Vicarage, we value opportunities that help residents stay active, connected and involved in everyday life.

Our approach to residential care in Otterton focuses on person-centred support, meaningful activities and overall wellbeing. From group exercise sessions to music, games and shared experiences, we aim to create a welcoming environment where residents can enjoy activities that suit their interests and abilities.

A big thank you to Shannon from G Fitness for bringing such enthusiasm to another wonderful session and helping make exercise an enjoyable social experience for everyone.
