Residents at The Old Vicarage, a family-run residential care home in Otterton, East Devon, enjoyed a colourful and creative art session with Maria.
Using paints, printing blocks and plenty of imagination, residents explored colour, pattern and texture to create their own unique pieces of artwork. The session was filled with creativity, smiles and a wonderful sense of achievement.
The benefits of creative activities in residential care
At The Old Vicarage, we believe that person-centred care means providing opportunities for residents to enjoy their interests, express themselves and experience something new.
Creative activities such as painting and printmaking can support concentration and coordination, encourage self-expression and provide a rewarding way for residents to spend time together.
As a welcoming care home in Otterton, we aim to offer engaging activities that support residents’ well-being and help them enjoy fulfilling everyday lives.
A big thank you to Maria for another joyful and inspiring art session.
