A wonderful afternoon at the Sidmouth Airshow
Our resident, Chris, enjoyed a fantastic afternoon out with Michaela at the Sidmouth Airshow, taking in the spectacular aerial displays and lively atmosphere along the seafront.
From incredible wing walkers soaring overhead to the impressive aircraft displays in the sky, there was plenty to see and enjoy. Chris was able to experience the excitement of the event while spending time outdoors and enjoying the local community.
Supporting person centred care
At The Old Vicarage, we believe that person centred care is about much more than providing day-to-day support. It is about getting to know each resident as an individual and supporting them to enjoy activities and experiences that are meaningful to them.
Days out and activities beyond the care home are an important part of this approach. They provide opportunities to experience something different, spend time with others and continue enjoying the interests and activities that bring pleasure to everyday life.
Staying connected with the community
Getting out and about also gives residents the opportunity to stay connected with the local community and enjoy the beautiful places and events around them.
For Chris, the Sidmouth Airshow was a wonderful chance to enjoy a change of scenery, spend quality time with Michaela and soak up the excitement of a popular local event.
Making special memories
The trip to Sidmouth was a lovely chance for Chris to enjoy something a little different, soak up the wonderful airshow atmosphere and create some very special memories with Michaela.
It was a brilliant afternoon filled with great company, incredible aerial displays and plenty of smiles ✈️
